MBA ADMISSIONS BLOG!

Quick Updates We have made a few updates to the Reception Schedule for Multiple Schools page, which now includes UCLA--Anderson, Berkeley--Haas, Virginia--Darden and a few from INSEAD (assuming others will be posted soon). Note that some cities have pretty hectic schedules at this point!

We have also added a few 'applicant' and 'student' bloggers whose most recent entry links should appear on the right-hand-navigation. Others are still to be added.

Cheers to the Wharton Alumni in the Bay area who organized a great seminar back in July. So while I would have liked to attend a formal reception earlier than Oct 5, I am not handicapped by its proximity to the deadlines.

I am not sure if this is something that all alumni chapters do but maybe it is something that Wharton could build on. In numerous cases it is often better to speak with alums than admission officers. At least in understanding what the school is all about. So if a city has a fair amount of application traffic and a sizeable population of Alums, early seminars like the one the July would be ideal.

unfortunately we cannot complete our entire recruiting schedule in time for R1 so i know this does present some problems for those targeting R1, but at last the San Fran is before the deadline, i am hosting a few in europe that are not. complete your essays, don't submit, attend the event then revisit your essays one more time before submission ?

I wish the Wharton Reception calender was preponed a little. With the first reception in SFO on Oct 5, it is too close to the deadlines for R1 to get a good idea of what Wharton is all about, specially considering that some of us can't make school visits due to various issues.

Offcourse that goes for other schools as well, but Wharton with its student friendly attitude should probably take the lead on this.
