I have a strong interest in Financial Engineering and was considering taking a Master's Degree in that field before going to do an MBA.
I have been advised that this is not necessary, and that doing my MBA at Wharton will enable me to drill down into Financial Engineering to such an extent that I will have covered the material on the Master's Degree (and almost emerge from Wharton with a Joint Master's).
Please advise as to what extent this is true.

Please do not admit Dikembe into your esteemed institution. I am the chairman of the Trust, his inheritance was in Italian Lira and not USD, which has since been converted to Japanese Yen, held as deeply discounted illiquid long-dated corporate paper. Just in case you want half his inheritance. Send dikembe the admissions brochure and collect the application fees anyway.

i have inherited $1,000,000,000,000,000,000.00 in US currency which is in a trust from which i am unable to retrieve these monies without an MBA from Wharton. Please kindly make arrangements for my obtaining an MBA from your institution and I will gladly provide you with half of my inheritance.

kindly,
dikembe
