Wharton MBA Students Promote Social Entrepreneurship
A growing number of Wharton MBA students and faculty are taking the lead in exploring new approaches to social entrepreneurship. Within the classroom, student groups develop their own business venture plans, which will ideally become real-world businesses. Within the Philadelphia community, students provide strategic guidance to non-profit boards. Highlights of these activities are detailed in a recent Wharton news release.

This sounds like a great program. Starting a business is so much more involved than just coming up with an idea and selling a product or service. Teaching students how to connect with the right resources and developing a detailed business plan will surely help most of them succeed.
