New Initiative Highlights Wharton's Growing Commitment to Non-Profits
Business schools continue to extend their reach beyond traditional business disciplines into the non-profit arena. One striking new initiative launched this academic year is The Wharton Non-Profit Board Leadership Program (NPBLP). NPBLP selected, trained, and placed 10 Wharton students on the Board of Directors of Philadelphia non-profit organizations, providing them with rare access to MBA talent. NPBLP ‘s contributions have been so well received that it plans to expand next year and further strengthen the ties between the university and the local community.
